*** FLYING HIGH or ZIPPING AROUND *** Either way: PIAGGIO LEAD THE WAY The latest stats from the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI) have been released, listing the Fly 150 as the biggest selling scooter in Australia and the Zip 50 holding its own in third place. Congratulations to Piaggio, infamous for their quality and style, who continue to lead the pack coming in with two of the three top selling scooters in Australia (Sept 2011 ytd).
The Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI) latest research stats have just been released. The mighty Piaggio Fly 150 has outdone the entire scooter market in Australia, with the Zip 50 proving its reliability coming in a strong third.
At ScootaCo, both these bikes have been huge sellers for us also. We can sell them with confidence knowing that the owners will be elated by their quality, consistency and reliability. Piaggio's extensive dealer network and backup, offer us and our customers quick parts delivery and valuable support.
Rhys Griffiths, FCAI Motorcylce Manager, reported “Strong growth of scooter sales and the resilience of overall road bike
sales suggest commuters are finding motorcycles to be a practical
solution to high fuel prices and inner city traffic congestion."
We have seen it for ourselves, but have also noticed that people have seen the light by buying quality brands. The market continues to see its share of flyby nighters, however these stats (FCAI) show that most people are not taken in by the bells and whistles on some of the 'cheap and nasty' options and realise that the likes of Piaggio, people who know scooters, do it the best.
